The Sound of Chad and Joy
We sing the Hebrew names of God in original contemporary praise music
Our Focus
We hope you are inspired with our unique flavor of 70's style praise music and the biblical lyrics using the Hebrew names of Elohim (God), along with our meditative instrumentals featuring Joy's flute.
OUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES
As children of the 1970's, Chad living in South Dakota and Joy in Arizona, their influences were similar like Elton John, the Eagles, Neil Diamond, the Beach Boys, and lots of 70's & 80's rock ballads. In the late 1980's, Chad and Joy turned their hearts to Christianity and the new contemporary Christian music that was being played on Christian FM stations like KVOI. Joy was inspired by Stryper, the Allies, Margaret Becker, Leslie Phillips, and Vineyard Music as she began to write her own songs of faith.
In 1993 Chad and Joy married and ministered in music. Both of them sang while Chad played acoustic guitar and Joy on keyboards. They led a children's praise team, then church worship services. They traveled to AZ Indian reservations and around AZ performing their original songs at various secular and ministry events for 11 years. Their first demo, "The Five Songs of Joy" was released in 1997, distributed only during ministry events with 4000 units sold.
In 2005, their faith pivoted to follow the whole Bible instead of just the New Testament. Chad and Joy's first compositions, using the Hebrew names of (Elohim) God, were written in 2010 and recorded in 2011. They established their own niche of blending the Hebrew names of Elohim with contemporary praise in their messianic EP, "Always Keep In Mind", released 2019.
In 2026, they released "Abide" which balances biblical lyrics with Joy's expressive flute textures lending the fluid melodies for contemplative and spiritual thought. Our next project will be our earlier works entitled, "Songs From the Attic".
